Once this command has been input, the display data read command does not change the column address, but only the display data write command increments (+1) the column address. This mode is maintained until the END command is input. When the END command is input, the column address returns to the address it was at when the read/modify/write command was entered. This function makes it possible to reduce the load on the MPU when there are repeating data changes in a specified display region, such as when there is a blanking cursor.
