The PI-005 is a stand-alone solution for 10 bit parallel video to fibre optic (serial) conversion. The

module can accommodate two fibre optic outputs or one fibre optic and one SMPTE 259M compliant

electrical output. Using the Gennum chipset the PI-005 provides EDH insertion for SMPTE 259M

serial interface for composite and component standards. The PI-005 complements the PO-005 fibre to

parallel module.
