The compensation needs to be such that

the Z2 phase boost zero needs to be

located around the filter double pole to help

offset the filter double pole. But the overall

crossover frequency needs to occur below

the RHP zero.

BOARD LAYOUT AND GROUNDING

To obtain the best performance from the

SP7606, a printed circuit board with ground

plane is required. High quality, low series

resistance

ceramic

bypass

capacitors

should be used at the Vin and Vout pins

(pins 1 and 8). These capacitors must be

located as close to the pins as possible. The

traces connecting the pins and these

capacitors must be kept short and should be

made as wide as possible. Below is a
