Introduction

The 1066 is a passive high power precision

resistive load. It has a 3.5 decade setting resolution.

The lowest dial allows 0.05 ohm steps.

Accuracy is 5% and a 1% stability is maintained on

load. Up to 500W can be dissipated for periods up

to several minutes.

A flashing over-temp indicator lets the user know

the allowed internal temperature has been

exceeded.

The maximum allowable current is 40A, a front

panel automatic cut-out switch is set to this value.

Forced air cooling keeps the resistive elements

cool.
