7 Device Certification

The CC3300MOD and CC3301MOD modules from TI are certified for FCC, IC, ETSI/CE, and Japan MIC. The

module is also Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ with the ability to request a certificate transfer for Wi-Fi Alliance® members.

TI customers who build products based on the CC330xMOD device from TI can save on testing costs and time

per product family. Table 7-1 shows the certification list for the CC3301MOD module.

Note

The FCC and IC IDs must be located in both the user manual and on the packaging. Due to the small

size of the module (11 mm x 11 mm), placing the IDs and markings in a type size large enough to be

legible without the aid of magnification is impractical.

7.1 FCC Certification and Statement

The CC330xMOD modules from TI are certified for the FCC as a single-modular transmitter. The modules are

FCC-certified radio modules that carry a modular grant. Users are cautioned that changes or modifications not

expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the authority of the user to operate the

equipment.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

• This device may not cause harmful interference.

• This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired

operation of the device.

FCC RF Radiation Exposure Statement

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled
