DIFFERENCES BETWEEN

µPD78P014 AND MASK ROM VERSION

The

µPD78P014 incorporates one-time PROM which can be written to once only, or EPROM to which programs

can be written, erased and rewritten.

By setting the internal memory size switching register, it is possible to make the functions of this device, except

for the PROM specification and mask option for pins P60 to P63, identical to those of a mask ROM version.

The differences between

µPD78P014 and mask ROM versions are shown in Table 1-1.

Caution In the

µPD78P014, the capacity of the internal PROM and internal high-speed RAM can be changed by using

the internal memory size switching register.

RESET input sets internal PROM to 32K bytes and internal high-speed RAM to 1K bytes.
