FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

LP14040P integrates robust vertical power MOSFET with very low on resistance. A lossless

current sense technology is implemented in the system. The protection functions include over current,

over temperature, power limit, input under voltage lockout, input over voltage protection.

The maximum power start up provides the fastest startup time without overshoot at output.

Programmable fault timer circuitry allows user to control the time stay in maximum power limit or

current limit condition, and provides programmable hiccup time. Low quiescent current makes it an

ideal solution for battery powered applications.

VIN, UVLO, OVP

The recommendation for the operation voltage is range from 4.5V to 40V. It can be used as 5V,

12V, 24V power rail distributor. When VIN is in UVLO or OVP condition, the device will turn off the

internal power MOSFET. After fault is cleared, the device will enter soft start mode.
