We offer an edited library suitable for the use with the Raspberry Pi,

which you can download

here. First, you have to execute the following

commands:

sudo apt-get update

git clone https://github.com/joy-it/Adafruit_Python_DHT.git

cd Adafruit_Python_DHT

sudo python3 setup.py install

Now you have installed the library. You can use the following command

to open a file and copy the following code into it so that you can try out

the DHT11 with a sample code.

nano dht11.py
