Application Limitations (continued)
10.2.1 Performance during Start up with short on output
The device does not turn off the internal FET after the thermal regulation max timeout of t(Treg_timeout), 1.3 seconds
(typical). The device regulates the junction temperature at T(J_REG),150 °C (typical) and keeps the internal FET
ON.
•
Devices affected: All the variants of TPS1663 Family (TPS16630, TPS16632)
A design fix will be included in the final release of the IC.
