Enhanced A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM and UART

Flash Program Memory

TheProgramMemoryisthelocationwheretheusercodeorprogramisstored.Forthisdevicethe

ProgramMemoryisFlashtype,whichmeansitcanbeprogrammedandre-programmedalarge

numberoftimes,allowingtheusertheconvenienceofcodemodificationonthesamedevice.By

usingtheappropriateprogrammingtools,theFlashdeviceofferuserstheflexibilitytoconveniently

debuganddeveloptheirapplicationswhilealsoofferingameansoffieldprogrammingand

updating.

Structure

TheProgramMemoryhasacapacityof8K×16bits.TheProgramMemoryisaddressedbythe

ProgramCounterandalsocontainsdata,tableinformationandinterruptentries.Tabledata,which

canbesetupinanylocationwithintheProgramMemory,isaddressedbyaseparatetablepointer

Program Memory Structure

Special Vectors

WithintheProgramMemory,certainlocationsarereservedfortheresetandinterrupts.Thelocation

0000Hisreservedforusebythedeviceresetforprograminitialisation.Afteradeviceresetis

initiated,theprogramwilljumptothislocationandbeginexecution.

Look-up Table

AnylocationwithintheProgramMemorycanbedefinedasalook-uptablewhereprogrammerscan

storefixeddata.Tousethelook-uptable,thetablepointermustfirstbesetupbyplacingtheaddress

ofthelookupdatatoberetrievedinthetablepointerregister,TBLPandTBHP.Theseregisters

definethetotaladdressofthelook-uptable.

Aftersettingupthetablepointer,thetabledatacanberetrievedfromtheProgramMemoryusing

the"TABRD[m]"or"TABRDL[m]"instructions,respectively.Whentheinstructionisexecuted,

thelowerordertablebytefromtheProgramMemorywillbetransferredtotheuserdefined

DataMemoryregister[m]asspecifiedintheinstruction.Thehigherordertabledatabytefrom

theProgramMemorywillbetransferredtotheTBLHspecialregister.Anyunusedbitsinthis

transferredhigherorderbytewillbereadas0.

Theaccompanyingdiagramillustratestheaddressingdataflowofthelook-uptable.
