39 / 203 page  Rev. 1.20 38 De�e��e� 1�� 201� Rev. 1.20 39 De�e��e� 1�� 201� HT45F77 Body Fat Scale Flash MCU HT45F77 Body Fat Scale Flash MCU EEPROM Data Memory ThisdevicecontainsanareaofinternalEEPROMDataMemory.EEPROM,whichstandsfor ElectricallyErasableProgrammableReadOnlyMemory,isbyitsnatureanon-volatileform ofre-programmablememory,withdataretentionevenwhenitspowersupplyisremoved.By incorporatingthiskindofdatamemory,awholenewhostofapplicationpossibilitiesaremade availabletothedesigner.TheavailabilityofEEPROMstorageallowsinformationsuchasproduct identificationnumbers,calibrationvalues,specificuserdata,systemsetupdataorotherproduct informationtobestoreddirectlywithintheproductmicrocontroller.Theprocessofreadingand writingdatatotheEEPROMmemoryhasbeenreducedtoaverytrivialaffair. EEPROM Data Memory Structure TheEEPROMDataMemorycapacityis64×8bitsforthedevice.UnliketheProgramMemoryand RAMDataMemory,theEEPROMDataMemoryisnotdirectlymappedintomemoryspaceand isthereforenotdirectlyaddressableinthesamewayastheothertypesofmemory.ReadandWrite operationstotheEEPROMarecarriedoutinsinglebyteoperationsusinganaddressandadata registerinSector0andasinglecontrolregisterinSector1. EEPROM Registers ThreeregisterscontroltheoveralloperationoftheinternalEEPROMDataMemory.Thesearethe addressregister,EEA,thedataregister,EEDandasinglecontrolregister,EEC.AsboththeEEA andEEDregistersarelocatedinSector0,theycanbedirectlyaccessedinthesamewasasany otherSpecialFunctionRegister.TheEECregisterhowever,beinglocatedinSector1,canberead fromorwrittentoindirectlyusingtheMP1L/MP1HorMP2L/MP2HMemoryPointerandIndirect AddressingRegister,IAR1/IAR2.BecausetheEECcontrolregisterislocatedataddress40Hin Sector1,theMP1LorMP2LMemoryPointermustfirstbesettothevalue40HandtheMP1Hor MP2HMemoryPointerhighbytesettothevalue,01H,beforeanyoperationsontheEECregister areexecuted.
