The internal oscillator for the RTC can be driven by an external 32.768 kHz crystal. The TPS658620 has also been design with integrated, I2C selectable, capacitors which can be used with the external 32.768 kHz crystal such that a wide range of commercial crystals can be used without the need for external load capacitors.
